Berit Norrbelius Lindberg

Gävle is the town where I’ve always lived and in which I probably will stay. From our house I see the sea, bridges and boats and on the other side of the house there is the forest with mushrooms and berries. On our yard I have my studio where I am as often as I can.

Nowadays I mostly paint in acrylic on canvas and on MDF and I get my inspiration from my surroundings combined with a lot of fantasy. The subjects are often “ships” and billowy landscapes, always with sharp contrasts between light and dark.

I have attended a number of shorter and longer courses, among others a ten weeks long education at the college of art in Umeå and shorter courses at the school of Gerlesborg in Stockholm.
