Together in Sigtuna

In 970, Sigtuna was founded as Sweden's first town. Today, a thousand years later, Sigtuna is an international meeting place and fourth largest hotel destination in Sweden.

Next to Sweden's smallest five-star hotel, Sigtuna Kulturgård is designed by Evert Milles (brother of the famous sculptor Carl Milles) and was built in 1917 by "Plåt-Pelle" as a residence for his family. In 1995, the enthusiast Inger Kraft started the association Sigtuna Kulturgård with a craft store, gallery on two floors and a café in the garden.

Stuff - Installations and one or two paintings.

My creative process is a pendulum movement between conscious thinking and an almost meditative state. Creation gives my thinking a physical form while giving birth to new thoughts and associations: impressions, expressions, impressions in a continuous process. 148 days in a subway? Surely this would be a nightmere and to be able to survive, your mind would have to concentrate on sceneries and life above ground. The artist's task at hand in this exhibition is to show the dark side or the bright side of the journey. Or why not - one from hell and one from heaven!

The exhibition takes place from 7 June until 29 September and is part of the Nordingrå Konstrunda (7-9 June 2019)

This time we have at our disposal the Art Museum, the house from Estonia, the first tramm in Tallinn, the tram from Norrköping and the subway car 'Silverpilen'. In the trams we hang the art so that it can be viewed from outside and as to the subway car the visitors have to enter to see the artwork on display inside.
